Titleist brand ambassador Davis Riley shot an even par 70 in the final round at Colonial to finish at 14-under par for the week and win with a 5 shot lead over world #1 Scottie Scheffler. This new golf course redesign by Gil Hanse proved to be very challenging carding many bogies for the field. The 11 month old renovation brought historic Colonial back its roots and original layout. With these new changes brought slight changes in routing, very firm green complexes, fresh Bermuda turf, and new grainer sand in the bunkers. The conditions made golf for the field a challenge for most carding many up and down scores, this didn’t seem to effect Davis as he continued to show strength and patience each day carding scores to earn his first solo PGA Tour win.

When asked about his thoughts on his Vokey wedges, Davis shared the following with our leadership team.
“I love my Vokey wedges because I know when I strike it how I want, they are going to come out of the same window with precision and control every time. Looks are most important for me, I love what I’m looking at when I set down my wedges. Feel is equally important and nothing feels like a Vokey wedge giving me a solid feel. When I look at a Vokey wedge it feels like I’m stepping up to hit my favorite club every time, the feel and consistency across the face is unmatched. When I’m out practicing and playing, my favorite go to shot with a wedge is a low draw, the weighting in the wedge helps so much when I’m trying to keep my ProV1 low. I have always thought Vokey wedges are the best for my game, they are the best looking and they offer me the best precision and control for my short game.”
